FLIR's PathFindIR camera is a high performance, rugged, thermal imaging camera designed to provide driver vision enhancement in adverse weather conditions. Fitted behind your car's front grill the unit delivers better situational awareness that what traditional head lamps alone can deliver.

Unlike a regular camera, PathFindIR does not display the kind of reflected light that we see with our eyes. Instead, only temperature differences are displayed on the screen - cold objects are displayed as black, hot objects as white. The system allows drivers to see without any additional lighting and provides real-time imaging at any speed.

Because of this PathFindIR can immediately spot anything that provides a thermal contrast to your driving background, such as people, warm blooded animals, parked cars and other roadside hazards.

By increasing a driver's situational awareness PathFindIR provides you with more time and distance to react to oncoming hazards. But PathFindIR penetrates more than just the black of night. Its thermal visioning can see through fog, smoke, haze and the glare of oncoming headlights with equal ease.

Aftermarket Automobile Installation Kit
PathFindIR FLIR's PathFindIR aftermarket installation kit, including an LCD monitor with sunshade, all required mounts, cabling and installation CD can be installed in under 3-hours. If your car is equipped with an in-dash NAV-screen, PathFindIR's wiring can be plugged directly into it. If a NAV-screen isn't available simply mount the included LCD monitor on your automobile's dash or instrument panel.

Designed to withstand harsh environments, PathFindIR's imaging camera is encased in a hermetically-sealed housing that is resistant to rocks, sand, salt, and under-hood contaminants. Qualified for operation in all types of weather conditions, an automatic, built-in heating element prevents ice buildup in cold weather conditions.

And unlike factory installed systems your PathFindIR aftermarket kit lets you re-install the system in your next car when the time comes.
