Camera Adaptable Night Vision
The ability to capture photographic images and video of exactly what you're seeing is an important aspect of many night vision applications. To meet this need a wide assortment of products in our line includes the ability to connect your night vision unit to a digital camera or videocam.
How's it done?
The connection to your night vision scope is achieved by use of the filter threads on the lens of your camera. The upshot of this is that your camera will require some degree of macro capability as you'll actually be taking pictures of the night vision screen that's inside your scope.
While the adapters are designed to fit the widest range of camera lens filter threads, in some cases it may be necessary to purchase a step-up or step-down ring. These usually cost less than $10 and are available at most good photo shops, though we can help you with these if required.
One exception to the rule
Unlike traditional optical night vision scopes the new wave of digital night vision products such as the Ranger and the NiteMax Digital Viewer provides an RCA video output jack. By simply connecting your NiteMax to the video device with a standard RCA cord you can easily record high resolution digital video in real-time.
Used in conjunction with our line of Infrared Night Vision Lighting digital night vision units can deliver night vision surveillance video that's ready to share with law enforcement for quick resolution of security incidents.
