Based on infrared sensitive digital chips, digital night vision has
become an important segment of the market. And for good reason... for
the price of a good Gen1+ scope, digital units can deliver performance
rivaling many Gen2+ products.
Moreover, digital units permit real-time, high resolution recording
directly to most video cameras, either in standard North American NTSC
video format or in the European PAL video format.
Keep in mind however that digital night vision is an "active infrared"
system that requires plenty of infrared lighting to perform at its best.
While all digital units are equipped with infrared illuminators, for
long-range viewing they require the addition of more powerful
infrared lighting products,
a full line of which we offer on our website.
