Camera Adaptable Night Vision
Capturing photos and video of exactly what you're seeing is an important aspect of many night vision applications. To meet this need a wide assortment of products in our line includes the ability to connect your night vision unit to a digital camera or videocam.

How to connect a camera to your night vision device
To connect your camera to a night vision scope a simple camera adopter is used. The adapter screws onto your camera's lens where the filters usually attach and then clamps onto your night vision scope's eyepiece using three compression screws.

In essence what you're doing is creating a stable connection that lets you to photograph the image inside your night vision scope. Because it's a close-range shot, make sure your camera has a macro setting that lets it focus within an inch or so. Also make sure that your camera's lens has filter threads at the front to permit the attachment of a filter.

While night vision adapters are designed to fit a wide range of cameras, in some cases you might need an optional step-up or step-down ring. These usually cost less than $10 and are available at most good photo shops, though we can help you with these if required.

Video and Memory-Stick digital night vision photography
The new wave of digital night vision and thermal imaging products make it easy to record high-resolution night vision images directly to any video device using a standard RCA connection link. Some units include internal memory sticks to save images on the go. Easily downloaded to your computer, this feature is very useful for night vision surveillance applications.

Camera Adaptable Night Vision Lighting
Proper infrared lighting is necessary to obtain stunning night vision photographs. Without enough light your shots will be dull and grainy. Digital night vision is especially prone to poor performance if your surveillance area isn't properly lit with infrared light.

To illuminate large areas, our line of ultra-covert infrared illuminators allow you to effectively "paint" the scene with invisible infrared light. For long-range infrared lighting of targets as far as 225 yards away, our line of infrared spotlights are very effective.
